Tips for Using Progresso® Broth

  • Heat broth and use it to add zip to leftover pasta, turkey, chicken, pork or beef.

  • Instead of water, use broth to cook rice, quinoa, bulgur wheat, wild rice, brown rice, or rye berries.

  • When making fondue, use broth instead of cooking oil. Bring broth to a boil and keep warm in a fondue pot. Flavor with soy sauce, ginger or garlic. Use veggies and meat as dippers.

  • For added flavor in recipes that call for cooked chicken, pour broth over raw chicken breasts, cover and microwave.

  • Broth is a great building block for your favorite homemade soup.

  • When cooking potatoes for making mashed potatoes, cook the potato pieces in broth. Drain off the broth and save it so you can add it back it as you like when you mash the potatoes.

  • Freeze unused broth in ice cube trays. Store cubes in a sealed container and use as needed.
